It’s natural to feel excited about a new big TV, high-end bike, or fancy gadget. But when you post about it publicly in building or society groups, you’re essentially telling a large number of people that you now have an expensive item at a specific address.
Most people are harmless, but you never fully know who is reading or who gets forwarded screenshots. You’re increasing the “visibility” of things that might attract the wrong kind of attention.
Celebrating such purchases privately with close friends or family is safer. Your happiness doesn’t reduce if fewer strangers know exactly what sits inside your home.
