What benefit is there in repainting kitchen walls with washable paint if you cook frequently?

Date:

Kitchens deal with steam, oil mist, food splashes and hands constantly touching walls. Normal matte paint stains easily and doesn’t like scrubbing. After a while, walls near stoves and switches start to look greasy and tired.

Washable or scrub-resistant paints allow you to wipe away splashes more confidently without damaging the surface. A quick sponge and mild cleaner can remove most daily stains.

If you cook a lot—or love frying, tadka, baking—it’s worth this upgrade. The kitchen stays fresher-looking for longer, and you don’t feel helpless when a curry bubble pops onto the wall.
