A colour that looks fresh and perfect at 11 a.m. in bright natural light can look completely different at 8 p.m. under warm yellow bulbs—or under cool white tube lights. It might turn dull, too yellow, too blue, or just “off.”
Painting small test patches and looking at them across the day shows you all these versions. You can see how the shade behaves near windows, in darker corners, and under the actual lights you use.
This reduces the chance of that classic regret: “Day me toh acha lagta tha, raat me bilkul hospital jaisa feel aa raha hai.”
